About your Desert Sun Academy PTO

Welcome to our DSA community! Our children spend most of their time in school, and being involved in our parent teacher organization is the best way to stay close and connected to their everyday lives. Volunteers can participate at many levels.

Our PTO functions in three different aspects: events and services related to parent/family support, activities related to teacher/classroom support, and programs and events supporting the school overall.

Featured fundraising events, including the Apex Fun Run, Scholastic Book Fairs and our Annual Spring Auction are planned, coordinated and staffed entirely by volunteers resulting in valuable financial support for our school.

Here are a list of items, funded by your PTO contributions & fundraisers, for the 2019-2020 school year…

  • $14,000 for Kindergarten aide
  • $20,000 for on 3 French Interns for French immersion program
  • $7,000 for on Achieve3000, Smarty Ants, Dreambox
  • $4,000 for educational materials for all grades and specials
  • $14,000 for Library/Librarian

The parent community connects with our school through its volunteers.
